Shiatsu (Acupressure) – Shiatsu is a fully clothed bodywork (with no oils) that uses kneading and pressure along the energetic pathways and points on the body to either tonify or disperse energy. It focuses not only on the musculature but the energetic system creating a smooth flow of energy throughout the body for optimal health and balance. Clients should wear smooth, stretchable, comfortable clothing: belts, sleeveless shirts with all sorts of straps, tight or rough-textured clothing should be avoided.
Reflexology – Reflexology focuses on specific pressure points in the hands and feet that affect the whole body like a microcosm of the macrocosm. It helps correct the energy flow and promotes healing.
Swedish/Relaxation – Oil massage using light to medium pressure in slow gentle strokes for stress relief. It is detoxifying, pushing lactic acid from muscles and promoting the circulation of blood and lymph.
Therapeutic Deep Tissue – A western approach to tissue repair designed to remove severe tension and muscle knots. The techniques penetrate to the deeper levels of muscle and connective tissue to improve range of motion, soothe pain, and heal injuries.
Ashiatsu Bar Therapy– Known as the “deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet” Ashiatsu is a deep compression oil massage that is performed with the feet. An overhead bar system is utilized for balance and flow. These long connecting strokes can release chronic back pain and unwind soft tissue damage, stimulating a healthy flow of energy in the body. This modality is designed for a thicker muscular body type and not recommended for frail or very thin body types.
